1. Introduction
Welcome to ServicesBillboard ("Company", "we", "our", or "us"). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use our website https://servicesbillboard.com/ and services. By using our platform, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of personal data:
- Personal Identification Information – Name, email address, phone number, and business details (if applicable).
- Agency Account Information – For agency accounts: the operator’s name, login email, password, agency name, and the Agency’s own listing details.
- Listing & NAP Information – Business name, phone, street address, city, state, postcode, country, website, category, hours, photos, and related public listing fields. On an agency account this may include client businesses the Agency submits, including by spreadsheet import.
- Payment Information – When processing payments, we may collect billing details; however, we do not store credit card details, as payments are processed securely via third-party payment processors.
- User Profile & Account Information – Information provided during account creation, including preferences and booking history.
- Communication Data – Messages, feedback, and interactions between users, service providers, and our platform.
- Technical & Usage Data – IP address, device information, browser type, and website usage analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal data for the following purposes:
- To Provide Services – Connecting customers with local businesses for directory listings, project matching, and service-offer requests, and operating the Agency Program so authorised agencies can manage client listings from one login.
- Public Directory – Publishing Name, Address, and Phone and other listing fields on public pages so customers and citation tools can find a Listed Business. Login email for an agency or owner account is not used as the public listing phone or address.
- Account Management – Creating and maintaining user accounts and memberships, including agency accounts that hold more than one listing.
- Payments & Transactions – Processing membership and platform fees. Job payments, if any, are between the customer and the business.
- Customer Support – Responding to account and platform inquiries. We do not mediate or settle job disagreements between customers and businesses.
- Marketing & Communication – Sending service-related updates where permitted by law (with opt-out where required).
- Security & Fraud Prevention – Ensuring compliance, preventing fraud, and maintaining the integrity of our platform, including unauthorised or inaccurate listings.
- Legal & Regulatory Compliance – Meeting legal obligations and responding to law enforcement requests where required.
4. Agency Program
If you register as an Agency, you submit two kinds of information: (1) your account and agency listing, and (2) listing data for client businesses you manage.
- Who provides client data – Client Name, Address, Phone, and other listing fields are provided by the Agency, not always by the Listed Business itself. The Agency must be authorised to give us that information and to have it published.
- What is public – Each listing is a public directory page. NAP and other listing content you enter may be indexed by search engines and used as a citation. Do not put private login details, or the Agency’s office NAP, on a client listing unless that is the Listed Business’s real public information.
- What stays on the account – The Agency login email, password, and account settings are for operating the account. They are not displayed as the public listing phone or address.
- Access – People with the Agency login can view and edit every listing on that account, including imported listings.
- Listed Business rights – A Listed Business (or another person with a legitimate interest) may contact us to correct or remove a listing published about them. We may update or delete that listing and, where appropriate, the related Agency account data needed to process the request.
- Our role – We publish what the Agency submits. We do not independently verify that the Agency has permission from each client, except where we choose to investigate a report or a Verified Business phone check. A Verified Business badge is not an endorsement of the Agency or the Listed Business.
5. Data Sharing & Third-Party Disclosure
We do not sell or rent personal data. However, we may share data with:
- The Public Directory – Listing NAP and related public fields are displayed on our website and may be crawled by search engines and citation tools.
- Service Providers – To facilitate bookings, matching, and transactions, using the contact details on the relevant listing when a customer hires or a lead is accepted under our product rules.
- Payment Processors – For secure payment processing.
- Legal Authorities – When required by law or in response to legal requests.
- Business Transfers – In case of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred.
6. Data Retention & Security
6.1 Retention – We retain personal data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, including keeping public listings available until the account holder removes them or we unpublish them under our Terms.
6.2 Security Measures – We implement industry-standard security protocols to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have the right to:
- Access Your Data – Request details on the personal data we hold.
- Correct Your Data – Update inaccurate or incomplete information.
