Masonry Contractor - When brick, block and concrete are needed to build your structure, hiring an experience masonry contractor is the only way to get the job done right. From concrete block to finished concrete slabs, a masonry contractor can do just about any project that has anything to do with concrete. Masonry contracting is often divided into two services. Brick and block masons tend to build walls from pre-dried mortar products exclusively. Concrete masons perform pouring wet concrete into premade forms.

Block Masonry

One of the most common forms of masonry today, block masons build residential, commercial and industrial structures quickly and efficiently using preformed concrete blocks. Many block masonry companies have several crews with multiple workers that can erect structures quickly and affordably. Block masons also bend steel reinforced bar to fill the hollow spaces of the block around, doors, windows and at certain intervals. Once the block is complete, it is poured with a concrete grout around the steel rebar to reinforce the structures strength and durability.

Brick Masonry

When the look of brick is required, only a brick mason can perform the required duties. While brick masonry is similar to block masonry, brick masonry is a finished product and must be completed with perfection to allow lines to match up correctly. Only hire a brick mason with a long list of past satisfied customers to ensure you get an experienced and qualified brick mason for your project.

Concrete Mason

Pouring wet concrete is a job that’s completely different from stacking brick or block. A wooden or steel form is built to contain the wet concrete. Any steel or rebar is bent and tied into place within the slab or wall. Plastic vapor barriers and insecticide must be placed onto the surface before any concrete is poured. Once the concrete is delivered onsite, it is poured from the truck directly to the site or into a concrete pump where it is then delivered to the worksite. Upon release, it is smoothed and finished until the surface is finished and has cured.
